It is this audience that we hope bringing all of the content into one place will benefit the most. (From Brian):One of the biggest target audiences for the new portal are students that are attending Marist but are not perhaps on or near campus and are studying remotely. The idea is to integrate the portal with other applications so that the customer (student) has a single interface to a collection of services and applications. It should give those who do use social media access to interfaces they would otherwise have open in another tab. The introduction of social media shouldn’t make it more difficult for less tech savvy customers. Q2 Will the introduction of social media links make navigation more difficult for the older less tech savvy audience? Do you foresee social media becoming a requirement to take full advantage of the portal? ![]() This public audience might be a spouse of an employee who needs access to a medical claim form. This means content will be available to unauthenticated customers. A small portion of the portal will be public. The current target audience is 90% internal audience so currently registered students, teaching faculty, and current employees. Q1 Are there any other target audiences for this new portal besides student and faculty? Will prospective students be able to use it all? He’ll come in behind me and comment on anything he’d like to add or change. I am going to give these a first pass as Brian just returned from out of town and is catching up. ![]() I have put her responses in Italic, and I hope to speak to her this week to finish my Fact Sheet for the Media Portfolio. JoAnn has responded back to 7 or the 10 questions. Earlier this week I asked Brian the IT guy questions about the new portal Marist is preparing to launch.
